President Droupadi Murmu has expressed deep condolences following the death of former Jharkhand chief minister Shibu Soren, calling his demise a 'big loss' for social justice.
At 81, Soren, who was pivotal in advocating for tribal identity and the creation of Jharkhand, passed away after a long illness. Murmu highlighted his extensive contributions at both the grassroots and national levels.
'His dedication to tribal welfare will not be forgotten,' Murmu remarked, offering her sympathies to Soren's family and admirers, including his son Hemant Soren, the current Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
