The Telangana government is gearing up to establish itself as a prominent destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and film tourism. Jayesh Ranjan, the Special Chief Secretary (Tourism) and CEO of the Industry and Investment Cell, spearheaded discussions with stakeholders to formulate separate action plans aimed at enhancing the state's appeal for both sectors.

To boost MICE tourism, a gathering of 40 industry representatives from travel, hospitality, and event management sectors took place, where they were assured of a structured timeline and execution frameworks for the proposed initiatives. The definitive action plan is expected to be revealed by the end of August or on World Tourism Day in 2025.

Furthermore, the focus on film tourism united twenty delegates from the Telugu Film Chambers of Commerce, Film Studios, and other relevant bodies to strategize on making Telangana a globally attractive and affordable filming location. Discussions included the development of a 'One Stop Shop' portal to streamline permits and resources for film productions.
