Corey Mylchreest, star of 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story', recently recounted his experience auditioning for the role of Flynn Rider in Disney's live-action adaptation of 'Tangled'. However, he was not cast due to the producers' preference for someone with singing experience. The film's production has been put on hold.
The delay comes in the wake of the disappointing box office performance of Disney's 'Snow White', directed by Marc Webb and starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot. Released in March, 'Snow White' did not meet expectations, leading Disney to reevaluate ongoing projects.
Mylchreest humorously shared his audition tale with Seventeen Magazine, saying, "I think I can say this now because I don't think it's happening anymore." The actor jested about his suitability for the role, lamenting the project's pause, which, he noted, resulted from him not being cast. The live-action 'Tangled' was intended as a remake of the 2010 animated film inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairytale, with director Michael Gracey attached.
