Rajasthan’s Green Triumph: Exceeding Sapling Plantation Goals

The Rajasthan government successfully surpassed its annual target by planting over 10.21 crore saplings as part of the 'Hariyalo Rajasthan' initiative. Inspired by the Prime Minister's 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, the effort involved contributions from multiple departments and incorporated geo-tagging for long-term care.

The Rajasthan government has achieved this year's ambitious target of planting 10 crore saplings under the 'Hariyalo Rajasthan' campaign, as per an official release.

Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma informed Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma at the latter’s residence, where a new campaign poster was unveiled, and a sapling was ceremonially presented.

This initiative, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', aims at planting 50 crore saplings within five years, with contributions from key state departments and long-term tree care ensured through geo-tagging.
