Kirsten Dunst has shared insights into a frightening period involving her young son's health while she was working overseas. In an interview with Town & Country, the 43-year-old actress disclosed that her 4-year-old son James faced a serious health issue during their stay in Budapest, where she was filming Ruben Ostlund's project, The Entertainment System Is Down.
Dunst's husband, Jesse Plemons, and their children, Ennis, 7, and James, accompanied her to Hungary last January. The family settled in a rented house, with Ennis attending a local school. However, once James's health issues arose, they opted to return to Los Angeles to be near loved ones. Dunst described the period after their departure as deeply unsettling, likening her feelings to the 'Final Destination' concept, fearing worst-case scenarios for her child.
When questioned about whether the scare affected her certainty about her relationship with Plemons, Dunst affirmed she already knew he was the right partner, yet the experience enhanced their family unity. While Dunst and Plemons usually keep their sons out of public view, she has occasionally discussed them. Last year, she revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that her sons were less than impressed by her Spider-Man performance, with younger son James preferring specific scenes over the overall movie.
