In a remarkable turn of events, Rachna Goldar, a laborer from Madhya Pradesh, has stumbled upon eight diamonds in the Panna district, potentially worth several lakh rupees. These gems include high-quality stones with a combined weight of 2.53 carats, the largest being 0.79 carats.
The diamonds, discovered on Goldar's leased mining plot, were deposited with the district diamond office for an impending auction. With the auction proceeds, Goldar hopes to improve her financial situation dramatically.
Panna is known for its diamond auctions every three months, attracting traders nationwide. After government deductions, the proceeds largely benefit the discoverer, illustrating a unique aspect of local mining and commerce.
