Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced an inquiry into the death of singer Zubeen Garg, who passed away in Singapore.
His government has directed the Director General of Police Harmeet Singh to involve the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and consolidate various FIRs filed across the state.
Additionally, Sarma is in talks with Singapore's High Commissioner Simon Wong and has assured the public of a thorough investigation involving concert organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta and the singer's manager Siddhartha Sharma.
