Tragedy Strikes Utangan River During Idol Immersion
Three individuals drowned during an idol immersion in Utangan river, Agra. The incident happened in Khairagarh when several people slipped into deep water. While one was rescued, three bodies were recovered. Authorities continue to search for more missing persons in the area.

Tragedy struck the Utangan river in Agra district as three people drowned during an idol immersion ceremony, officials reported on Friday.
The mishap unfolded in Khairagarh on Thursday when nine individuals accidentally slipped into the deep waters. Although locals managed to save one person, the bodies of Gagan, Ompal, and Bhagwati were later recovered by authorities.
The search operation continues for other missing participants, with District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bangari stating that six people were initially reported missing. Local divers, police forces, and the State Disaster Response Force have been deployed. The group deviated from the designated immersion site, choosing a different spot. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences for the lives lost.
