Fans of 'Peaky Blinders' have reason to celebrate as a new sequel series has been confirmed. Netflix has ordered the continuation of Steven Knight's acclaimed show, this time unfolding in 1953 Britain and following a fresh set of Shelbys.
The anticipated sequel will be spread over two seasons, each consisting of six one-hour episodes. Although the cast details remain under wraps, it's been confirmed that Cillian Murphy, who famously portrayed Tommy Shelby, will serve as an executive producer. Kudos and Garrison Drama, the creative forces behind the original series, are on board for the sequel. Filming is set to return to its Birmingham roots at Digbeth Loc. Studios.
In a statement, writer and creator Steven Knight expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter, promising a riveting tale centered around Birmingham's post-war recovery. Adding to the excitement, a 'Peaky Blinders' film, 'The Immortal Man,' is also in the pipeline for early 2026 release, featuring an ensemble cast including Cillian Murphy, Stephen Graham, and others.
