Pilgrimages and Traffic Resume in Jammu as Weather Clears

After three days of suspension due to adverse weather, the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir has resumed. The Jammu-Srinagar highway is partially operational again, and schools in Jammu have reopened. Other routes, such as the Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road, remain affected by snow.

Following a three-day suspension triggered by adverse weather conditions, the pilgrimage to the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine atop Trikuta hills has resumed, officials confirmed on Wednesday morning.

Traffic on the 270-km Jammu-Srinagar national highway is partially reopening, albeit with restrictions, as sections of the road remain in disrepair. The highway suspension had lasted through the previous day due to multiple landslides.

Meanwhile, Machail Mata yatra has also recommenced alongside the reopened schools in the region, signaling a gradual return to normalcy as weather conditions improve significantly.
