Dolly Sharma, the lone woman pilot among 20 trainees, represents a significant story of courage and empowerment in this ambitious project driven by the region's tourism authorities.
Situated near Jammu, the site Aitham has been trialed and is being developed to boost adventure tourism. The initiative is expected to operationalize within five to six months, offering a new identity to the skies of Jammu.
Adventure tourism has been gaining momentum and is seen as a way to diversify Jammu's tourism portfolio beyond its traditional offerings. The regional administration is keen on transforming Jammu into a year-round destination for adventure enthusiasts and to generate employment for locals, especially women.
