The Odisha government is investing in eco-tourism by setting up its second Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) in the Sanaghagara area of Keonjhar district, according to officials.
The ambitious project, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, will cover 134 acres and is expected to be completed by 2027. The facility aims to serve as a hub for biodiversity conservation, research, and public education.
In addition to boosting tourism, the centre will feature thematic gardens with a wide array of plant species and provide preventive measures against human-elephant conflicts, officials confirmed.
