Elaborate security measures have been tightened in the state capital as President Droupadi Murmu arrives in Kerala for a four-day official visit. Starting Tuesday, traffic regulations will be enforced citywide from 3 pm along her route, according to sources.

The President is scheduled to visit the Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala in Pathanamthitta district on Wednesday for 'darshan' and 'aarti.' She will return to Thiruvananthapuram the same day, where she is set to unveil a bust of former President K R Narayanan at Raj Bhavan on Thursday.

Apart from this, Murmu will inaugurate the Mahasamadhi Centenary of Sree Narayana Guru in Varkala and attend various educational fairs, including the Platinum Jubilee celebrations at St Thomas College, Pala, and the centenary event at St Teresa's College, Ernakulam, before concluding her visit.
