Delhi to Spotlight Chhath Puja with 17 Model Ghats

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the development of 17 model Chhath ghats along the Yamuna in Delhi, withdrawing all cases against devotees. The government aims to celebrate Chhath Puja with grandeur, ensuring facilities like cultural programs and cleanliness initiatives. The festival, significant for the Purvanchali community, sees wide participation.

In a significant move, Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta declared the creation of 17 model Chhath ghats along the Yamuna to celebrate the festival with grandeur akin to Diwali.

Devotees can now celebrate freely, as all past cases against them are being withdrawn. Over 1,000 puja samitis have applied to organize the festival this year.

Each site will host cultural programs and ensure amenities like clean water, lighting, and washrooms. The government has also initiated a cleanliness drive with full support from MPs, MLAs, and councillors.
