'Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha', starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, is poised for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, as announced by the producers on Tuesday.

The film, directed by newcomer Shaneil Deo, who also co-authored the screenplay with Sesh, narrates the tale of a convict whose fury leads him to seek revenge on a former lover who betrayed him. The intense drama, fueled by themes of love, treachery, and payback, will be available in Hindi and Telugu.

Mrunal Thakur broke the announcement on Instagram with a post showcasing the film's poster bearing the release date. The caption promised an 'explosive drama' with hashtags like #DACOIT and #UgadiWithDACOIT, signaling a release alignment with festivals. The project, also featuring Anurag Kashyap, is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios, after its original December release was postponed.
