Film Producer Amit Jani Receives Life Threat Over Controversial Film

Film producer Amit Jani reported receiving a life-threatening call while traveling from Moradabad to Sambhal. The caller, identified as Mohammad Shabbir, allegedly threatened to harm Jani and his vehicle during his film's production or Bihar election campaign. An FIR has been filed, and police are investigating.

Film producer Amit Jani reportedly received a life-threatening phone call, police revealed on Wednesday.

Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Bishnoi of Sambhal stated that Jani lodged a written complaint after receiving the threatening call at 4:19 PM on Monday, while journeying from Moradabad to Sambhal. The caller, introducing himself as Mohammad Shabbir, inquired whether Jani was involved with 'Udaipur Files' or 'Sambhal Files.' Upon confirmation, Shabbir allegedly threatened to attack Jani and destroy his Defender vehicle during the film's shooting or amidst the Bihar election campaign.

Following Jani's complaint, an FIR was registered at the Hazrat Nagar Garhi police station under charges of criminal intimidation. Authorities have launched an investigation, aiming to trace the caller, according to Superintendent Bishnoi.
