In a bid to promote communal harmony and respect for cultural heritage, the Punjab government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP's national convener Arvind Kejriwal, has launched the second phase of the 'Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojna'. This move coincides with the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

The scheme, hailed by Kejriwal as a 'pathbreaking step', aims to take pilgrims to revered sites including Sri Harmandir Sahib and Durgiana Temple, among others. Eligibility for this government-supported pilgrimage is determined through an open draw selection process, ensuring inclusivity and fairness.

Offering air-conditioned transport, accommodation, and free meals, the initiative also plans coordination with the Railways for travel beyond Punjab's borders. This project underscores Punjab's spirit of unity and reverence for its rich spiritual and cultural history.
