Acclaimed actor Sanjay Mishra emphasizes the need for Indian cinema to explore films centered around 'life and relationships,' rather than focusing solely on 'larger-than-life' productions. At the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Mishra highlighted the importance of diverse narratives, citing the premiere of his new film, 'Vadh 2', as a step in that direction.

The sequel to the praised 2022 release, 'Vadh 2', presents a fresh story and demonstrates the continued demand for independent films with strong content. Mishra expressed his appreciation for producers who invest in niche films, such as 'Aankhon Dekhi' and 'Kaamyaab', and lauded them during the festival.

Jaspal Singh Sandhu, writer and director of 'Vadh 2', echoed Mishra's sentiments, stressing the necessity for producer support to realize a filmmaker's vision. Both Mishra and Sandhu spoke highly of lead actress Neena Gupta, acknowledging her depth of experience and remarkable talent, which made her absence at the event felt even more.
