Delhi residents eagerly await the chance to take to the skies with the newly launched hot-air balloon rides available at Asita Park starting Saturday. The Delhi Development Authority has facilitated this experience following a launch event earlier this week hosted by Lt Governor VK Saxena at Banseera Park.
Originally planned at Banseera Park, the rides were shifted to Asita Park due to a concurrent event. This decision forms part of a broader initiative by the DDA to offer such attractions at multiple locations, including the Yamuna Sports Complex, Commonwealth Games sports complexes, and other sites along the Yamuna Bank.
The venture, managed by a private agency, is structured on a revenue-sharing model, allowing for advertising opportunities on the balloons themselves. Priced at Rs 3,000 per person, excluding taxes, each exhilarating flight will ascend approximately 120 feet and last between seven to twelve minutes, accommodating up to four passengers.
