Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has praised the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for its unwavering commitment to promoting cinema. Speaking at the sidelines of IFFI 2025, Siddiqui described the event as one of India's most prestigious film festivals.

He emphasized the significance of such festivals in India, recognizing IFFI as a leading celebratory platform backed by the government. Siddiqui expressed hope that local films will continue to receive strong representation at IFFI, a goal already being supported by government initiatives. The festival's 56th edition drew to a joyful close on Friday, graced by notable attendees like Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, legendary actor Rajinikanth, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, and 'Kantara' fame Rishab Shetty.

In a climactic moment, cinema icon Rajinikanth was honored with a lifetime achievement award during the closing ceremony held in Goa, celebrating his half-century legacy in Bollywood. The 74-year-old received a standing ovation from the audience while reflecting on his storied career that he feels has passed in the blink of an eye. He sentimentally stated his desire to relive his journey as an actor, concluding that, given numerous lifetimes, he would choose to be born as Rajinikanth each time.
