INS Vikrant to Star at Navy Day Celebrations in Shangumugham

INS Vikrant will be the main attraction at the Indian Navy Operational Demonstration on December 3 in Shangumugham, attended by President Droupadi Murmu. The aircraft carrier, currently near Sri Lanka, will reach Thiruvananthapuram shortly. The event will showcase naval exercises demonstrating the combat strength of India's air and naval forces.

The INS Vikrant is set to be the centerpiece of the Indian Navy Operational Demonstration, scheduled for December 3 at Shangumugham as part of the Navy Day celebrations.

President Droupadi Murmu is expected to grace the event as the chief guest. According to naval sources, the premier aircraft carrier is currently stationed near Sri Lanka and will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram in the coming days.

With Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi hosting the event, the demonstrations will exhibit India's naval and air power, highlighting what officials describe as 'combat strength and capabilities' of the forces.
