Bhopal's Army Cantonment served as the launchpad for a commemorative car expedition celebrating the 290th anniversary of the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai, led by Lieutenant General Arvind Chauhan. This initiative signifies the enduring legacy and evolving role of the dockyard in India's maritime history and its commitment to national security.

The event, spanning over 21 days, involves 40 participants, including Naval Officers and Defence Civilians, traversing through iconic Indian locations in 12 vehicles. This marks a concerted effort to foster public engagement, honor naval achievements, and highlight technological advancements within the Navy.

Rooted in a rich heritage, the dockyard's achievements include the construction of over 150 significant ships and the pioneering development of Asia's first dry dock. The expedition underscores the dockyard's pivotal role in India's defence evolution, aligning with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative for self-reliance and excellence in defence manufacturing.
