Assam's Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, revealed that the police will submit a charge sheet concerning the mysterious death of celebrated singer, Zubeen Garg, by December 12. The singer, revered as a cultural icon in Assam, died under perplexing circumstances in Singapore earlier in September.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Assam Police is rigorously probing the incident, having gathered approximately 3,500 documents following the filing of over 60 FIRs across the state. The deadline for this extensive investigation is set for December 18, but the charge sheet is anticipated earlier.

Zubeen Garg's death in Singapore has raised numerous questions. Initial reports from the Singapore Police indicate no foul play, yet the investigation continues, potentially taking up to three months before being reviewed by the State Coroner. Meanwhile, several associates of Garg have been arrested, facing charges cascading from financial dealings to suspicions of involvement in his demise.
