The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has refused anticipatory bail to Bhojpuri singer and YouTuber Neha Singh Rathore on charges related to indecent remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The case originates from a complaint filed at Hazratganj Police Station in connection with comments made by Rathore in April.

The allegations are tied to Rathore's remarks regarding the Pahalgam terror attack, where she criticized the Modi government for allegedly politicizing issues of caste and religion. In an interview with ANI, Rathore defended her words, asserting they were misinterpreted and originally aimed at raising safety concerns following the attack.

The incident, which occurred on April 22, resulted in the death of 26 individuals, including a Nepali national. Poet Abhay Pratap Singh filed a complaint claiming Rathore's posts fuelled caste-based resentment and anti-national sentiments. The legal troubles have led to multiple FIRs across Uttar Pradesh.
