An estimated half a million devotees are poised to assemble in Kolkata this Sunday for a highly anticipated Bhagavad Gita recital. The event, dubbed a 'spiritual awakening for Hindus,' seeks to unite participants in a solemn expression of faith.
Highlighting the occasion will be the presence of renowned yoga guru and entrepreneur Baba Ramdev and West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose. Organizers from the Sanatan Sanskriti Sansad, an association of spiritual leaders, have planned an extensive program titled 'Ek sath 5 Lakh Gita path' where the spiritual fervor will be palpable.
Kartik Maharaj, a pivotal organizer and head of Bharat Sevashram Sangha's Beldanga branch, emphasized the event's mission to disseminate messages of communal harmony, intentionally leaving political dimensions at the door.
