In a remarkable tribute to the late Bollywood superstar Dharmendra, villagers in Selkhera, Mathura, collectively celebrated his life with a ceremonial 'terahvin'. Nearly 10,000 people partook in the emotionally charged event.
The ceremony included a 'havan', a 'shantipath', and culminated in a 'brahmabhoj'. Fans cherished Dharmendra's memory with a special screening of his classic film 'Sholay'. Gopal Singh Pehalwan and Lakhan Singh, lifelong admirers, organized the homage, emphasizing Dharmendra's place as a 'family member'.
Invitations reached numerous nearby communities, illustrating the actor's extensive influence. Dharmendra, deeply connected to Mathura through his wife Hema Malini, who serves as a local MP, passed away on November 24 after a prolonged illness.
