Actor Dharmendra, a giant of Indian cinema, has passed away at 89, just weeks short of his 90th birthday. His son, Sunny Deol, shared a heartfelt video tribute. Dharmendra's death followed an illness, with premature media reports earlier drawing ire for their inaccuracy.

In a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, actor Sunny Deol honored his late father, and Bollywood icon, Dharmendra, who passed away aged 89, soon before reaching 90. The beloved actor's career spanned over six decades and left a tremendous impact on Indian cinema.

Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital on November 10. Media erroneously reported his death on November 11, sparking strong reactions from those close to him, including Malini, who criticized the premature reports as irresponsible.

Despite the early reports, Dharmendra returned home briefly before passing away. His funeral took place at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai, marking the end of an extraordinary life in cinema.
