STAGE, the leading OTT platform focused on regional languages in India, recently saw a secondary transaction amounting to INR 4.2 crore. This allowed early employees and angel investors to partially exit, marking a significant milestone in the company's history.
The transaction, handled by Hissa Fund, provided timely financial liquidity for STAGE's team members such as Junaid and Kunal, founding team members. The proceeds empowered employees to achieve personal milestones like paying off home loans and helping their families.
As STAGE expands, it underscores its growth from inception to over six million subscribers. Set to enter Marathi and Gujarati markets by 2026, STAGE continues to serve audiences who prefer content in their dialects, carving a niche in the hyperlocal entertainment sector.
