The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is set to transform Nehru Park into a hub of artistic expression with the launch of a 'sculpture park'.
Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal announced that a committee will soon finalize the site at Nehru Park. With a dedicated Art & Culture Department established in May, NDMC is committing Rs 40 crore to support this cultural initiative.
A month-long symposium planned will feature live sculpting events by around 15 prestigious artists, including national and Padma Award winners. The sculptures, ranging from 10 to 15 feet, will be a permanent fixture in the new park, highlighting India's artistic talent and heritage.
