Union Home Minister Amit Shah joined several prominent figures in Delhi to honor the late Bollywood legend Dharmendra, whose death marks the end of a notable era in Indian cinema. Shah, along with BJP chief JP Nadda and other key political leaders, attended a prayer meet at the Ambedkar International Centre.

The attendees also offered condolences to Dharmendra's widow, Hema Malini. The actor's illustrious career, known for its breadth across various genres, garnered love and admiration nationwide. His exemplary work in films like 'Sholay' and 'Chupke Chupke' cemented his place as a cherished figure in Hindi cinema.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Dharmendra as a film icon whose versatile acting impacted countless fans. Tributes poured in from the film fraternity, including superstar Rajinikanth, who shared heartfelt memories of their friendship. The actor's legacy extends beyond acting, with ventures into politics and reality TV. His last film, 'Ikkis', is set for a December release.
