A Tribute to Dharmendra: Celebrating a Legend's Life and Legacy

In Mathura, a heartfelt prayer meet was organized on Saturday by Hema Malini, the Mathura MP, in memory of her husband, the legendary actor Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24. He was just weeks from celebrating his 90th birthday when he succumbed after a prolonged illness.

Hema Malini delivered an emotional address to the gathering, reminiscing about their 57-year partnership that saw them starring in 45 films together. She described Dharmendra as a simple, humble, and jovial man who remained deeply connected to his roots, despite achieving vast stardom.

Documentaries, including one by director Anil Sharma, highlighted Dharmendra's life and his love for Urdu poetry. Attendees, including Baldev MLA Puran Prakash and Congress leader Pradeep Mathur, expressed their admiration for Dharmendra's talents and his warmth as a human being.
