Boreum Beauty Retail Private Limited, in partnership with GITAM University, is set to revolutionize the skincare industry with the development of advanced cosmetic ingredient delivery systems. This groundbreaking collaboration seeks to position India as a leader in global personal care innovation.
The initiative targets the creation of nine advanced ingredients, including enhanced versions of epidermal growth factor and recombinant collagen, using cutting-edge delivery technologies such as nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs). By focusing on delivery intelligence, the collaboration aims to produce formulations that are clinically tolerable and safe for sensitive skin.
Founder and CEO of Boreum, M. Sivaramakrishna, highlighted the project's potential to build a leading R&D ecosystem in India, accelerating high-performance ingredient development and creating long-term scientific value. The partnership will also pursue 20-30 patent filings in the next three years, underscoring the commitment to domestic intellectual property creation.
