Popular 90s Villain Mahesh Anand passes away at 57

Popular for essaying negative roles in Bollywood films during the 90s, Mahesh Anand breathed his last on Saturday. The actor's body was found at his home in Andheri’s Yaari road area. Police have not ruled out suicide in the actor’s death, even though no note has been recovered from his home. Mahesh Anand was last seen in Govinda’s ‘Rangeela Raj’a that released on January 18 this year.

The actor was known to have drinking problems and was estranged from his wife who lives in Moscow. The body has been sent to the nearby Cooper Hospital for post-mortem.

Notably, the actor who has shared the screen with actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Govinda and Sanjay Dutt among others worked in many hit Bollywood films including ‘Coolie No 1,’ ‘Swarg,’ ‘Kurukshetra,’ ‘Shahenshah,’ ‘Vijeta’ among others.
