Filmmaker Dinesh S. Yadav is excited about his forthcoming social drama "Waah Zindagi", which tells story of a man's attempt to fight market occupancy by Chinese products to promote Indian made goods. Yadav opened up about his film while interacting with media about his movie.
"The story chronicles a common man from a small town of Rajasthan, who takes a stand against China dumping all sorts of products in the market and putting everyone out of business. He creates his own product and fights the market insurgency by Chinese. In 2007, Chinese product dumping had put millions of Indians and factories out of business," Yadav said. He continued: "Our own people were put out of business, factories were shut down across the nation. (It is about) how this single man gets up, gathers enough courage and conviction and takes a stand - this is center of the film. A single individual's fight against the entire Chinese dumping policy, and his win, I want to make people aware of it."
The film features stars like Vijay Raaz, Sanjay Mishra, Dharmesh Vyas, Manoj Joshi, Naveen Kasturia, Plabita Borthakur and Lalit Sharma. How was his experience of working with National Award-winning actor Sanjay?
"I had a wonderful time working with everyone. Sanjay Mishra had some apprehensions about the project, but once he saw my rough work and entire subject as a whole, he gave his best performance. It was wonderful working with him and everyone else." Denying any political inclination with the film, he said: "'Made in India' (concept) came from Mahatma Gandhi and 'Make In India' from Narendra Modi. So, I don't see anyone objecting to anything. I am not making this film from viewpoint of Congress or BJP. This is the story of an Indian man."
He wants to show his film to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "I don't know if it would be possible but if I can screen my film for the PM, it would be wonderful. I would really like that and I will send an invite. Waah Zindagi is supported by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. It is slated to open in March this year.
