The Sri Krishna Math, a revered temple, has introduced a stringent dress code requiring male devotees to remove their shirts and women to wear traditional attire. These guidelines, implemented by the Paryaya Shiroor Math as of January 19, aim to uphold the temple's sanctity.
Previously, the shirtless rule for men was restricted to attendees of the early morning Mahapuja. However, the revised code now applies throughout the day. Additionally, temple authorities have banned the entry of men and women dressed in jeans, T-shirts, and sleeveless garments.
The decision underscores a commitment to preserving the temple's discipline and traditions. Officials have called upon devotees to comply with these regulations to maintain the temple's revered status.
