In a vibrant display of cultural unity, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik addressed a gathering celebrating the foundation days of Manipur, Meghalaya, and Tripura, underscoring the shared history and cultural diversity of the northeastern states.
The event, held at Lok Bhavan, was attended by members of the Manipuri, Meghalayan, and Tripuri communities. It featured captivating cultural performances, demonstrating the traditions of the three states, including classical dance forms from Manipur and folk dances from Meghalaya and Tripura.
Celebrating the enactment of the North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971, the governor praised the collective heritage that binds these states, echoing the spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'. He encouraged continued cooperation and cultural exchange, vital for the region's social and developmental progress.
