Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, is currently on a tour in Kerala, where he visited the esteemed Sivagiri Math in Varkala on Saturday. Rahul was received warmly by Swami Sathchidanda, the president of the ashram, with a saffron garland.
At the Math, Gandhi explored various areas connected to the legacy of Sree Narayana Guru and expressed his respect at the guru's samadhi. In a heartfelt message on Facebook, Rahul described the visit as a tribute to Narayana Guru's teachings of truth, equality, and compassion, which continue to guide the path forward.
On the previous day, Rahul Gandhi participated in an event in Kollam that celebrated the 100th anniversary of a historical meeting between Mahatma Gandhi and Sree Narayana Guru. Accompanying him were several prominent Congress leaders, including K C Venugopal, P C Vishnunadh, and Chandy Oommen.
