Fresh snowfall and rain in the mountains north of Delhi have significantly lowered the capital's temperature, which had peaked at 36 degrees Celsius earlier this month. Tourists in Shimla were caught off guard by the sudden chill, as people donned shawls and hoodies amidst the rain.
According to weather expert Mahesh Palawat, the weather system will intensify over central Pakistan, Punjab, and Haryana, bringing more rain in the coming days. Delhi, too, has seen breezy weather, with rainfall keeping temperatures moderate at 17.6 degrees Celsius, down from the 30s experienced earlier.
In Jammu and Kashmir, places like Gulmarg and Sonamarg have enjoyed fresh snowfall, enticing tourists and filling hotels. Manali has also seen a boost in tourism, with snow expected to last until summer, benefiting local businesses.
