Memories of the Alhambra is one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history. The series, which was highly extolled for its creative plot and unexpected twists, was originally released on tvN on December 1 and continued till January 20.

Is there any chance for Memories of the Alhambra Season 2 – this is a truly a heart-breaking question Korean and global fans are constantly asking. According to Meaww, one particular fan spoke to a Netflix representative and then started a petition to notify the Netflix's top officials that there is a huge demand for it.

Memories of the Alhambra had a superb ability to make viewers reflect about their own lives. Jinnie Choi-created series was not like most of the television shows where romance commonly takes the centre stage.

"It restored the hero's reputation, brought Se-joo (Chenyeol) back and brought justice to characters like Soo-jin (Lee Si-won), who had been abused by Professor cha (Kim Eui-sung) throughout the series and Yoo-ra (Han Bo-reum), whose actions finally caught up with her," the petitioner Maria Andrade said to MEAWW who believes that the finale had quite a bit of potential defending the demand of Memories of the Alhambra Season 2.

Maria Andrade also believes that hastiness in wrapping up the story and leaving the futures of all the main characters to the imagination of audience was an injustice. There are still lots of questions that need to be answered – Is it possible for Jin-woo to move out of the game and reunite with Hee-joo? Will Se-joo ever recover from PTSD and be able to run a company? Even the future of faithful Mr. Park is not answered. "Despite the episode's great premises, I feel like the writers owed a more conclusive ending to the viewers," she said.
