Marine Le Pen to seek ECB intervention to ease France's interest burden

​French far-right ‌leader and presidential ​candidate Marine Le ‌Pen said on Tuesday she would seek an intervention ‌of the European ‌Central Bank (ECB) if she is elected to ease ⁠France's ​interest ⁠rate burden once it has regained ⁠control of its ​finances. Discussions with the ECB ⁠are "essential", she told reporters.

She added ⁠that ​she would be open to "some ⁠kind" of wealth tax.
