The High Commission of India in London celebrated the 136th birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar with a thoughtful event at Ambedkar Hall. Floral tributes, along with poetic expressions, paid homage to Ambedkar's contributions to socio-economic equality and the Indian Constitution.

Members of the Federation of Ambedkarite and Buddhist Organisations (FABO) UK, students, and community leaders gathered to reflect on Babasaheb's enduring message of equality for all. A video tribute explored his significant life milestones, including his time as a law student in London.

During one of his final addresses as High Commissioner of India to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami emphasized Ambedkar's legacy in fostering a democratic nation even amidst challenging socio-economic conditions. He cited Ambedkar's vision for justice as vital to ongoing efforts against global inequality and violence.
