In a blunt response to societal pressures, actor-producer Patralekhaa has publicly addressed the body-shaming she has faced post-pregnancy. Recently, she and her husband, actor Rajkummar Rao, attended the premiere of their production debut, 'Toaster', which is now available on Netflix.
The couple welcomed their first child in November 2025, and Patralekhaa took to Instagram Stories to denounce the insensitive comments on her weight gain, emphasizing that it is a normal consequence of giving birth. She expressed her frustration over the unnatural standards imposed on women, stating, "I have not sat and eaten a mountain, I just delivered a baby and produced two films simultaneously which are not easy jobs."
Asserting that her body's reaction to pregnancy was uncontrollable, she urged people to exhibit basic kindness. With their next production, 'Raftaar', starring Rao and Keerthy Suresh, she continues her industry endeavors while advocating for compassion.
