Singh elaborated on AI's potential benefits, noting that it can streamline tasks like data collection and content delivery, ultimately freeing up journalists to focus on more in-depth analytical reporting. However, he cautioned that AI must be used responsibly to ensure accuracy and maintain context in reporting.
The workshop, co-organized by the National Commission for Women, stressed the importance of skill development and regional language promotion in AI applications. Singh advocated for structured training programs and an ethical framework akin to those developed in Europe, to guide the use of AI in journalism across India.
