The Sims 5 won’t be launched before 2020, The Sims 4 still making huge funds

The Sims 5 is not going to be released in 2019 as The Sims 4 is still making a lot of money. Hence, this is natural to consider that the next instalment of The Sims franchise will come out when the current one stops sounding financially profitable.
The Sims 5 might see a later release as Tech News Watch claimed that The Sims 4 fetched in more than USD 1 billion in nearly five years, whereas the game community inflated by nearly 5 million of players in the previous year.
"Our Sims franchise continues to thrive in live services. Our Sims 4 community grew by 4.8 million unique players last year, our monthly active players continued to grow year-over-year and we just crossed $1 billion in lifetime revenue for the game," Electronic Arts released a financial report in the first week of February.
Apart from the concept of ongoing fund generation from The Sims 4, another reason for The Sims 5's delay is the Electronic Arts' plan to release more content for the current title in the not-so-distant future. In the report, the company cited that it is contemplating to release more content for the current entry in the fiscal year of 2020.
Remember, the fiscal year will commence in April this year and end in March 2020. And since the addition or entry of new content in the current entry is likely to happen in this fiscal year, the launch of The Sims 5 will be further delayed. But until when exactly, we don't know at present.
