The Rajasthan Forest Department has taken decisive action by barring three safari vehicles and their respective drivers and guides from Ranthambore National Park. The move followed an incident on April 28, when these vehicles allegedly entered a restricted area during a morning safari in Zone 2.
Deputy Conservator of Forests (Tourism) Sanjeev Sharma revealed that the prohibition order was issued as guides Rajendra Singh Rathore, Vijay Singh Rathore, and Balveer Singh Rathore were accused of violating the park's stringent rules. A subsequent investigation found that the GPS of one vehicle had been switched off, raising questions about the transparency of monitoring processes.
The department has demanded explanations from those involved within a three-day timeframe and has issued a stern warning of strict consequences. The temporary ban on the vehicles, drivers, and guides, remains in place until further notice as officials emphasize the need for adherence to park protocols.
