In recent days, parts of Rajasthan have experienced a slight decline in temperatures, thanks to dust storms and light rainfall. The India Meteorological Department reported that temperatures are now lingering around 40-42 degrees Celsius.

Phalodi topped the charts as the state's hottest location on Wednesday, registering a sweltering 43.8 degrees Celsius, with Chittorgarh following closely at 43.4 degrees. Jaipur, the capital, recorded 41 degrees, according to officials.

A new western disturbance, along with easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal, is expected to influence the state's weather over the next four to five days. This will result in thunderstorms, gusty winds of 40-50 km/h, and light to moderate rainfall in some regions. While these conditions offer partial relief from heatwave conditions, temperatures could still soar to 43-45 degrees Celsius in some south-western areas.
