Punjab Assembly Pays Homage to Iconic Photographer Raghu Rai
During a one-day special session, the Punjab Assembly paid tributes to eminent photographer Raghu Rai and freedom fighter Chaman Lal. Tributes were also extended to war veteran Lt. Gen. Deepinder Singh and Hockey Olympian Gurbax Singh Grewal. A solemn two-minute silence honored their memories.

The Punjab Assembly convened a special one-day session on Friday to honor the memories of several notable figures, including the celebrated photographer Raghu Rai and freedom fighter Chaman Lal.
Raghu Rai, who passed away at 83 in New Delhi, was revered for capturing the diverse nuances of India through his lens. Tributes were also extended to Indo-Pak war veteran Lt. Gen. Deepinder Singh and Hockey Olympian Gurbax Singh Grewal.
In a mark of respect, Assembly members observed a two-minute silence for those who have passed since the last session. This solemn moment reflected the Assembly's deep respect for their contributions.
