In a record-breaking gathering, over 6,000 people executed the 'Bhujangasana' or Cobra pose at Kanha Shanti Vanam, earning a spot in the Asia Book of Records. This mass Yoga session, organized by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, marked the 50-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga 2026.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy emphasized Yoga's importance to India's cultural heritage, calling it a vital solution to modern stress and an essential element for nation-building. He urged Hyderabad to become a global hub for Yoga and holistic wellness, paralleling its status as an innovation center.
Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav noted Yoga's evolution into a worldwide movement under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. With initiatives like Yoga 365 and mass Yoga Mahotsavs, India is solidifying its identity as a center for wellness tourism and holistic healthcare, with future events planned in culturally rich locations like Khajuraho.
