On Tuesday, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani inaugurated two innovative gardens, 'Nakshatra Vatika' and 'Herbal Vatika', at the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly premises. The ceremony was attended by assembly speakers from various states, highlighting a fusion of India's spiritual traditions and environmental conservation efforts.
The 'Nakshatra Vatika', reflecting traditional Indian astrology, features trees associated with 27 constellations. Each constellation corresponds to a specific tree, and the garden spans about 5,000 square meters, incorporating trees linked to the nine planets, 12 zodiac signs, and the Hindu trinity.
The 'Herbal Vatika', covering 850 square meters, is dedicated to medicinal plants with 38 species such as rosemary and aloe vera. These initiatives aim to conserve biodiversity, preserve medicinal heritage, and educate future generations on the connection between Indian culture, astrology, and nature.
