Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein advocates for an integrated tourism circuit to connect key Buddhist destinations across northeastern states and neighboring countries, calling it the 'Tawang Initiative.'
During a workshop in Tawang, Mein emphasized a professional and collaborative approach to expand the tourism network, stressing the spiritual and cultural significance of sites such as the Tawang monastery.
Highlighting the state's rich biodiversity and tribal diversity, Mein announced an international tourism event to position Arunachal as a premier destination, while efforts are underway to digitize and preserve the state's intangible heritage.
